A Cup of Coffee
My friend Kimberly recently asked me to buy her a cup of coffee — except she didn’t want coffee at all. Her mother is building an orphanage in Uganda, and they’re currently fundraising to build a security wall around the property because it isn’t safe for the children to live there or for supplies to be brought in without that wall.
It’s easy to forget how far just a little bit of money can go, especially if we tell others about what we’ve done. Giving up one of our little luxuries for the day can translate into a child having a home and feeling safe.
So I bought Kim a cup or two of coffee. Perhaps you’d consider doing the same by contributing.
Be a little stone making big ripples in the world this weekend.
Thank you my friend- I truly appreciate you spreading the word. And thank you for the cup of coffee!
xx
I’ll buy her banana bread! Wow, what a remarkable lady and an inspiring way to give. My heart goes out to her and the people she is helping.
