An Incantation (for Women)

sunrise

She rises
and like that, there is a fire beneath her
lifting her as if she were as light as a leaf on the wind.
Everything has been expanding, evolving,
even when gravity is pulling everything closer.
How does she defy the laws of physics
over and over again?
She is a contradiction.
She cannot be categorized
or classified.
Some things in this world were made
to inspire awe,
to remind you that anything is possible,
that everything is possible,
and she is one.
She is the beginning,
she is what you were searching for.
And there you have found her,
inside of you,
sleeping and dreaming this whole time
until desire woke her.
This is freedom.
This ownership of who you really are.
This is what rising feels like.
So stand,
so float,
so soar
and crown yourself with those stars.
